is there a link between physchiness or moods and dreams?

i know this is kinda wierd, (well, it is to me, but it might be normal in reality), i can tell my mood for the next day by the type of dreams i have the night before ( and mind you i have mood swings so its kinda hard to predict my moods) .... for example, last night i had some pretty terrifying nightmares , most resulting in the death of me or ppl i care about (family, friends) and i was extremely happy today...... and yesterday, i had extremely great dreams and was in a gernerally bad mood.... when i have dreams that are kinda nuetral or i dont remember them, i have mood swings through the whole day, whereas when i have dreams with strong emotions, my mood will switch to the opposite emotion only once, always aruond the afternoon.... and in the past few months its always been like this... i was wondering if anyone might know why????

also, sometimes in the morning, as soon as i wake up, i already know whats gonna happen that day for example, my dad is at work by the time i wake up, and this morning when i woke up to get ready for school, the first thought in my head was 'my dads coming home from work early today, and will be home before i get home' which was wierd to think, becuz my dad NEVER takes off work, and i had absolutely positively no reason to think that he would have any reason to get off work hoours early, and sure enuff, the first person i saw when i got home was my dad, who had got off work early which scared the hell outta me........ and another time was last week, when i first woke up, the first thing that flashed thru mymind was an image of me fighting with my best friend, and at the time there was no reason to think that, we were getting along great as usual... but after a couple hours in school, we got in a huge fight.... everytime i wake up thinking something that happens i always have a wierd twisting feeling inmy gut, which comes back outta nowhere before that thing happens...... any ideas on why i already know whats gonna happen as soon as i wake up???? (and ITS NOT my brain piecing things together, u tell me that and ill raise all kinds of hell)

ps pleaz give me some ideas im getting freaked out

Dreams do not determine what kind of mood you will be in the next day. Your and other people's actions, along with various events throughout the day determines what kind of mood you will be in.

My mom used to be able to 'do' the thing you describe, she still is, at some degree.

For example, one day she just knew my dad was coming home from work early and that he'd take a cab, so she made 2 cups of coffee

Sure enough, he came home early and with a cab.

Although she didnt see this stuff through her dreams, it's the same type of thing.

You shouldn't try to get rid of your ability, even if it scares you. I mean, what if you'd get 'better' at seeing things.. Just think what you could do
      hey

Well said I sometimes worry about knowing everything and that would take the fun out fo life I suppose there would be an extreme anount of free will though and you could change everything you don't like, but what about on those perfect days that we sometimes get where everything goes right?

How come when ppl die that you care about you have a good mood?

      P.S. Cool avatar ronso!

both my lucid experiences have been when i was really depressed. i think the urge to Not Be In Reality helped push my consciousness inwards.

I know exactly what you mean.
I am going through a really hard time right now, & have been for a while. So sleep is really my escape from the world...c-ing as how i'm not allowed 2 die! anyways, when i learned about LD i thought it would be hard to manage....but it came very natural 2 me. I would enjoy it so much i would sleep a lot more often. After an LD experience i feel so refreshed & stronger, even my phychologist recomends it for therapy.
