      What on earth was this??

Last night I woke 5 hours after going to sleep naturally, browsed the net for anhour then went back to bed.. I can recall quite alot of my dream last night.. then I recall one specific, I was in bed.. then all of a sudden I realised I was dreaming, and then I started falling into a vortex at a stupidly fast rate and I heard horrific howling.. I felt my heart rate increase like 200 BPM, perhaps that's because I was partially excited, or maybe I imagined it.. but I remember I was terrified and I thought to myself I never want to LD again at this point I tried imagining to fly but because I was falling at a fast speed it was hopeless.. I then started losing focus and remember trying to spin my self around which worked, I then thought that I would stare at detail to see how real things were and noticed that things were really detailed although not how they are supposed to be.. I also recall thinking '' hmm how long has this lucid dream lasted, it's been a good few minutes now''

Thing is, looking back it is as if I dreamed this, not conciouslly done any of the things I did.. i've been pretty motivated as I haven;t had a LD ever before. Was this a dream of me having a Lucid Dream, or was it a low lucidity dream? It was pretty exciting in the moment.. however the vortex thing was scary and I literally felt my heart go crazy

wow this sounds like what I get. I think it is what they call obe. I have ld before and I am way more interested in this. Let me ask you, it was like full awareness while you were dreaming, but when you wake up it doesnt seem like it kinda? It seems really real to me and I can feel my body (im not in it) when I am close to it. Ive never done anything though cause I am always scared cause its hard to see for me and plus its like real life and it is dark at night! And oh yah I hear shit too but only for certain times. Last night I heard this weird sound that I cant describe but it was like horrible music notes repeating and It was almost like it hurt my ears. One time it sounded like a siren on an ambulance.
I am deeply sorry that the majority of humanity takes such offense to my "extremist" ideals.

Did this happen while you were falling alseep/waking up - like the sensation of falling then waking up before reaching the ground?

Sounds like what happens in SG1 when they go through a Stargate into another dimension

That happens to me when I’m in sleep paralysis and try and break away from it (when I’m scared) like a high pitched sound, like a car alarm going off without being able to stop it.

I think when you confront your fear in this stage you open into an OBE or Lucid Dream. kind of like going through the stages of WILD.

exactly, it seems SLIGHTLY more real than a dream.. but maybe that's because it was based on the topic of LD.. at the heat of the moment, which I can remember I can remember thinking and saying wow etc[/quote]

      Dear Desolate,

You need to learn what the Good Things are. Vortexs are Good Things. Jeepers, some people work for years to summon up a good Vortex. In fact, the last really Big Lucid Dream I had, my Project Goal was to repeat the "Hail Mary" Prayer and see what would happen. Well, do you want to know what happened? I was swept up to Heaven by this huge Vortex. My heart didn't race, and I wasn't afraid. It was rather fun... what I remember of it. My memory blanks out and then it picks up with me being returned to earth, by the same Vortex, this time going down. It dropped me off in a large, almost commercial size, kitchen -- all shining with stainless steel and white with gleaming tiles -- it was a symbol that the Cooking could now begin. Subsequent to that Dream I've been able to visit the Throne Room of the Queen of Heaven a few times. This tells me that these Vortexs open up Ways that were previously closed. Vortexs are the Things of Spiritual Initiation. So, no, I don't think you will have repeated experiences of Vortexs... but just a new Vortex for every new level you approach, or Chakra (Spiritual Center) that you Open.

Something like that happened the first time I went through a mirror. It was kind of fun, now I just go through them and end up some where else. Did you wake up right after the dream? If you don't wake up directly after a lucid dream, it might feel just like a normal dream. I know that happens to me a lot because I get false awakenings and stuff. Some times you can even forget half of the dream! Same thing for long lucid dreams, you start to forget stuff that happened at the start. Besides false awakenings you can also kind of drift back into normal dream mode, where you are no longer in control.

Yeah! That is what it is! Well, in actuality, I have to rely on that method, or I get insomnia, which I think really sux! Well, I have 2 choices once I reach the state. Stay still, & have an LD, or try to break free, & have a sci-fi!

It's SP....well, if you really get scared, just ask your partner to push you (whether an animal or a person), & that will help rid you of SP....of course, good for you, bad for me!
