What am i supposed to do after that?

Im in bed going to sleep, im able to calm down taking deep breaths. Then suddenly i feel a wave of blackness hit me. I start getting a bit dizzy, but remain calm. i can feel my mind leaving my body. My chest begins to get very heavy. My heart starts beating very fast and that scares me because it is beating irregularly and im not sure if this is supposed to happen during sleep paralysis. I try to remain calm, and let my subconscious run wild, whilst keeping my mind awake. A lot of different images start coming up, some of which are horrifying yet i still keep relaxing and letting it happen. My heart starts beating even faster, and believe it or not i can feel my eyes flickering as if i was in REM sleep. Yet i am fully awake? Then from that point i feel i am slipping away but i don't quite know what to do next? I wake up and am gutted that i didnt have a lucid. I go to drink some water and lie back in bed. And i do the same thing again. I am again shocked that i am able to do the same thing again. A wave of blackness, slight dizziness, and weird images. My heart starts beating ever so fast again and im a bit scared of feeling my heart beat that fast. My eyes flicker again but the weird thing is that i am 100% awake, yet all these things are happening.

Now my question is, what the hell is happening? lol. Is this me going into sleep paralysis? am i near to becoming lucid? or having an OBE? or am i no where near any lucid dreams? the fact that my eyes flicker, and my heart rate increases is a sign of REM sleep right? But i dont understand how im fully aware. Literally im 100% awake yet these things are happening.

The problem is, after all this i don't know what im supposed to do next. I can get to the point where my eyes flicker but have absolutely no idea what the next step is. any advice will be much appreciated.

Make sure you're not having a false awakening. You might have entered a dream but had a false awakening.

i wish i had the answer to your question because this happens to me when i attempt WILDs. id feel my heart beat faster see purple shapes and patterns and feel my eyes flickering wildly and im completely aware. but i just don't know what to do next. i tried visualizing something but nothing happened. i lost that and woke up, did a reality check. i was awake

As for the eye flickering I had this problem last time I tried to WILD and in a different thread KingYoshi gave me this advice which helped with the fluttering:

Its really best to just try and ignore the fluttering eyes. The more you focus on your eyes, the more connected you are to your actual body. This will cause problems with the transition and the WILD process in general. Just keep your eyelids as relaxed as possible and just don't worry about it. If something happens and you open your eyes, it doesn't mean you are screwed and have to start all over. Just close them again and go right back to what you were doing. Even if SP is broken, it will generally only take a few moments to return. Your fluttering eye problem is your mind giving you a road block. Once you overcome this problem, it is unlikely to return. Just keep practicing and you will be able to beat it. Another thing to try is, lay with your eyes open in a pitch black room for 15 or so minutes, before attempting to WILD. This will give your eyes time to adjust to darkness and they shouldn't cause you as much problems.

This helped me a lot, thought id pass it on
