Crazy Dream + A Little More

Possibly the most intense crazy bizzar event of my life. My fiance' and I recently decided to take a break and start our relationship over from scratch, due to the fact that I am an alcoholic. We have lived together for the past year, and things have been rocky to say the least. We decided that we would pack our house together, I would go back to live with my parents, and her the same, we agreed to spend the time we needed to pack together for our last few days living together. We went to bed at about 1:30 am, I fell asleep within minutes, due to the fact that I hadn't slept but a few short hours in the last few days because of depression. I began to dream, I dont usually dream, but when I do, my dreams are a little more than you might call extreme. I dont quite remember how it started out, nothing out of the ordinary that I can recall. I was sitting in my best friends car, our seperation had obviously started, because I was sitting in front of a strange house in front of which sat my now "Girlfriends" car. I got out of the car, and peeked into the window, She was preparing her daughter for bed, but they weren't alone, her best friend, along with her best friends boyfriend were sitting on the couch, I thought nothing of it. My best friend and I decided to go get something to eat and cigarettes, feeling nothing out of the ordinary was going on, off we went. We came back somewhere around half an hour later, all the lights in the house were off except for the bedroom, again... I really thought nothing of it, but decided to go have a look anyhow. I looked in and couldn't believe my eyes, I dont think I need to go into detail about what I saw, but it shocked me, my heart instantly obliterated, shattered, done for. I ran to the front door, kicked it in, and proceeded to the bedroom, but I didn't make it there, all three stood in the bedroom door staring, petrified. I yelled, I cried, I was so confused, I couldn't understand, and the only word I can actually recall saying was "Why?" She looked at me, but she didn't get a chance to reply. I shook awake, standing in front of my bathroom mirror staring into the face of the reason, the answer to my question. I was dripping sweat, my nose was bleeding, the sight of my own face standing in front of my bathroom mirror on the complete opposite side of the house from the room I had gone to bed in caused to my heart to jump, not just a jump, I think I may have even had a mild heart attack. I am terrified to go back to sleep, in the past a terrifying dream such as this starts right back in the same place I left off, and will continue to do so unless I stay awake for at least a few hours and get my mind off things, which is why I found this website, registered, and wrote it all out. If anyone has any input, suggestions, comments, answers in general, all feed back would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

Hmmm, I don't know exactly what you're talking about since you said you won't go into detail but it seems like an intense nightmare you have there. I guess you came to the right place because once you acquire lucidity in a dream and realize it is in fact just a dream, you can definitely confront whatever it is that's making you afraid to sleep. Running away won't solve anything believe me. So give it a try and Good Luck...with Everything.
