Access your brain like a computer while lucid?

I've been thinking about this for a long time, so I won't go into too much detail, but I thought, how cool would it be if one could access their own brain like a computer? You know like, search back through memories, thoughts, pictures, etc etc. I know this isn't exactly possible, omitting people with extreme memory skills, but what if someone was able to become lucid, would they have enough control to be able to access recent memories? Or even look through their eyes of a past moment? Because our brains store all these memories, and the majority of people just aren't that good at remembering things. Basically, would it be possible to access your own thoughts, memories, pictures, etc etc kinda like a computer if you became lucid? (and had a ton of control, because I'm assuming this would be difficult to achieve.) I haven't had too much experience with lucidity, only having two full on LD's with fairly strong control, and I really don't know much about what is really possible, but I would love to hear what other people think and any other ideas similar to this. Any thoughts anyone?

I agreed with you. It's an interesting idea and might work to some extent, for some people, but it would turn out messy. We can't exactly tell our subconscious to do create a memory simulation with a computer-like interface. But if it did work, it would be interesting to see what happened when you accessed certain files like the recycle bin. Virues might be metaphors, you might be able to find some consciousness file to see how it works, etc.
