Exclamation This is driving me NUTS.

I've always had vivid dreams. But for quite a while i've been having VERY realistic dreams. I don't feel like these dreams are classified as nightmares but in my last one i was terrified that i wouldn't wake up. I keep ''waking up'' in my dreams in different houses and it drives me CRAZY in my dream. I just want the dream to be over and i want to wake up for real in my current house. I'm always running from stuff in my dreams and trying to not think of dangerous things. I feel absolutely exhausted in my dream and after i wake up it's really hard for me to stay awake. I've been taking Trazodone for a few months for sleeping and depression. For the past week or so i havent been taking it because i've been staying up pretty late. I know i really need to get more sleep, but i'm also almost scared to go to sleep. I'm going to try only taking 25 mg of my trazodone but i want to hear from you. Also, maybe i'm sleep walking and i don't know it?

Sucky. Because if you think about them, they'll probably be waiting around the corner, right?
I've been trying to learn to celebrate every emotion... even fear. (At the risk of sounding like a total tool... ) Think about it this way: When you're on a rollarcoaster, you celebrate fear. Because you know you can't be hurt, and the rush is a lot of fun. What about trying to do the same with your dreams? You're completely safe. You will always wake up eventually- you know this from past experience. What about turning your nightmares into a video game type of scenario where you're being hunted but you also have... a lightsaber! Your dreams are your playground.

You're right about that. I should just turn around and be like LET'S DO THIS. lol i used to do that. take several bullets to the chest and be like "yeaaah i know i'm dreaming, you can't hurt me" x) and whatever i'm running from is RIGHT behind me the entire time. i never get far ahead =/ might as well tell it whose boss lol

A way to wake yourself up from a dream is to "force" yourself to open your eyes. That's how I always wake up, it can be straining or somewhat painful in a sense but it always works either way. Sometimes though, when you force yourself to wake up you will feel extremely tired and not be able to stay awake and drift right back into another dream very quickly.

I have a question: where you lucid during this? It seems like you were but I'm not sure. You will have more control if you are at waking up.
