Lately, I have been focusing on the MILD technique. I was sitting in the bathtub thinking about LDing. I did a RC. Then a random thought entered my head. What if you could use visuals to aid in your MILDing? I have decided to call it MS-MILDing or MultiSensory MILDing.

Now, when I read the Wiki I read about how when you mild, you are supposed to wake up from your dream, then visualize it and repeat a mantra as you fall asleep, with hopes of becoming lucid.

Now, what I want to know, is if it would be possible to aid in entering a LD by repeating a mantra while visualizing a location in witch you want the dream to begin. Probably trying to imagine everything your senses would take in. Imaging your whole body there.

I imagined myself doing this. Here is how it went. I got into bed, got comfortable, and let my mind wander for a minute as I relaxed. Once I could start feeling sleep approaching, I started to repeat my mantra. I also repeated something like: "I will begin my dream here. I will immediately realize that I am dreaming. I will completely remember the dream in the morning." Then I would do Like I said before, I imagined my whole body somewhere. I decided to try the least-detailed location I could think of. For some reason, a desert of purple-Grey stones and sand with a clear Aqua-colored sky came to mind. "Perfect" I thought. I would keep myself there. First, I would just visualize it, but later I tried to Imagine everything I would experience. The feel of the sand in my toes. The warm sun on my face, the alien wind in my hair. I would also squat down, trying to gather more sensory information by running my hands across the ground. I would still be repeating my mantra at this point. The key would be to get my mind so focused that I would seem to be as close to the vision and far from myself asleep as possible. Theoretically, You could directly enter a lucid dream that way.

Really, my only concern is that I would enter the dream and spend the entire thing repeating my mantra and just focusing on basic sensory control, still thinking that I was in bed trying to fall asleep. Once I've entered the dream, I want to not have to do so anymore. (Obviously)

Anyways, I know this sounds Spontaneous and Hare-brained. But I thought It was a good Idea. I look forward to hearing your feedback.
