What Happened

I am no dream expert in the slightest(don't know how reality checks are done) One gift I do have is the ability to lucid dream at times without inducing but last night I had a slight scare. It was about 4:30 and I was laying in this particular position, I woke up from a bad dream and wanted to stay up but everytime I went to this position my eyes would close and I couldn't stop them, my body would freeze(no hallucinations) I would fight it for what seemed like 8 seconds then get out. I was consciously aware I was entering my dream. Did I have a wild or something?

Sounds like sleep paralysis. It's possible that you started to slip into a WILD (which would cause the sleep paralysis) but then stopped it from happening. That's my explanation at least. I'm not exactly an expert either.
