      awareness in dreams.

When we lucid dream, we realize that we are in bed and that the dream is not reality as you all know! we also recall having a choice and being able to make choices and explore the ld. But as there are different stages of lucidity/clarity in dreams and different stages of awareness in reality for example - theres a person who goes about his dayly routines and all the thoughts that pass through his/her head are rather accepted or declined as a decscion/choice. Then there is the next stage of awareness were a person is aware of his/her thoughts and monitors the thought process's accuring in the mind....and so on. My question is can you recall there only being one level of awareness (not lucidity/clarity of the dream)

Plz only reply if you understood ALL of the above.

      Dear Infinity,

The benefits of Lucidity may become habitual. What are the benefits of Lucidity? Knowing one is dreaming delivers one from fear, and grants access to various dream abilities which would frankly be supernatural if we could exercise them from our waking condition.

Lately, without overtly asserting the point that "I am dreaming" my Dream Self has quite taken for granted the attitude of fearlessness and a command of supernatural powers, particularly levitation.

Now, what you are speaking of, to be decontructive of every mental process, that is, to be effectively above ourselves at all times holding upon ourselves a mirror of reflection for every thought and impulse, well, if such becomes our engrained habit while awake, then the Dreamer will eventually pick up the same tendency.

But even though some Lucid Characteristics follow in every one of my Dreams, still there is some particular magic when once can say to oneself "I am dreaming" -- it does provide a choice that a moment ago we did not necessary have. Perhaps the same state can be secured in Waking Life when we can acknowledge "This is Life, and it will one day go on without me".

Actually, this Higher State is often present in our dreams... it is only that it is represented by a Character other than our own. The Wise Old Man archetype, or the Lady Oracle -- those particularly knowledgable and insightful Characters are the Faculties in us which are able to reflect upon all our personality thoughts and actions.

while you dream within the confines of your waking Body Image, you will dream with all of the limitations of your body personality -- your Ego.

I honestly don't think that any significantly higher Consciousness can be attained while the identification with the Body is maintained. I think that the Spiritual Higher Consciousness that everyone speaks of is more akin to a Collective Higher Consciousness. So this raises a choice. You can be conscious of self and participate in your own individual personality, or you can skip out to the next higher level in which your original body is just another character in The Dream.

Can we experience this in Dreams. Yes. But we have to dispose of Body Image. The next time we look at our hands at the onset of a Lucid Dream, we must make it our purpose to dissolve those hands -- to dissolve the entire Body Image, in order to be a pure point of consciousness above it all.
