For most people, no. Some can, but usually you need to sleep those hours to get your mind into the period of highest REM period concentration.

The reason why it's easier to do it after 5-6 hours of sleep is because it's easier to slip back into a dream. My best ones have been while going to bed at night though.

I wasted quite a few nights staying awake then.

i found when i started out wilding, instead of just trying to wild after using your wbtb after 6 hours, instead use the time when u first go to sleep to practice getting your body to fall asleep and keep the mind aware, obvioulsy you wont be able to accomplish wildin into a ld during this as of your REM times, but it helps when you wake up 6 hours later, o and dont forget to get up and have a wonder then go back to bed after 10-30 mins depending on what best suits you, as i used to wake up after 6 hours then try to wild and end up falling asleep straight after waking, neways good luck in wilding
