      Lucid Dreaming and Health?

I have a question: Can lucid dreaming affect physical attributes and health?

I also have heard people here say that it can help people overcome fears...how does this work? Do you act out the scenarios in your dreams so you know what to do in waking life?

I see no reason Lucids would effect your health in a negative way, however, I've heard one report now of someone always being tired after a lucid.

Your health and state of mind are closely linked, so, I believe that Lucid dreams actually make you healthier. I know that after a nice lucid dream that I am at peace and happy. This reduces stress and lowers blood pressure, both of which are good things!

Now, your mental health. Lucid dreaming can help you work through any problems you might be having in that area. I've personally helped several people that had issues and things bothering them. When you are lucid, you are experiencing a unique environment, your concious and subconcious minds are both operating at the same time and it is much easier to discover issues that may be bothering you.

One of the methods I like for people to try is to talk to dream characters, ask them questions like:

      Why do I fear this?
Why do I always think this?
      Why do I do this?

Often, the answers are suprising and provide a unique insight into the workings of your mind.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Interesting...especially the part about talking with dream characters. Since you make them up yourself I guess that would make sense.
