Do i have to sleep for 5-6 hours before attempting a WILD?

Can't I just go to bed and stay still to enter SP then lucid from there?

WILD works only if you can go directly from waking state into REM. When you first go to bed it takes 90 minutes to enter your first REM period. But if you WBTB most likely you'll be able to go right back into REM when you fall asleep.

Lol it doesn't matter what time you go to bed, you should still wait from 4 to 5 1/2 hours or so before you try WILD. Some people say they can do it when first going to bed, but they're probably very advanced or extremely lucky, and I don't think they manage to do it often.

You should spend some time reading tutorials on this site, or just go for broke and get Steven Laberge's Exploring the Word of Lucid Dreaming.
