Reasons for your chosen Lucid Ability Rating?

I'm not sure if this has been posted and I can't find it so...

I'm curious as to what everybodys reasons for choosing the lucid rating ability that you decided for yourself. What are your qualifications for the level you put yourself at. I've noticed there are a lot of lucid knights, gurus, experts, and masters here and I'm wondering why you put yourself at that level. Plus if you put yourself at lucid god I really want to know what your qualifications are.

I concider myself a lucid expert for the following reasons...

I pretty much lucid dream everyday and it's getting to the point to where it's a rarity if I don't have at least one a day.
I can string lucid dreams together and keep consciousness so far for up to 2 hours of real time.
I'm advanced enough so that I don't often wake myself up from a LD from getting overly excited or scared or other things that could wake you up.
Normaly when a LD ends I'll go into SP with control and remain in it until I decide to project myself back into another LD or OBE.
I normally always go into SP when a LD ends before waking up.
I've had hundreds of LD's (I'm not sure of how many excactly because I haven't recorded all of them but I have over 150 recorded LD's.
I can meditate for decent amounts of time while lucid.
I can participate with dream characters and teach them to levitate and fly.
Have good conversations in LD's (though it's still hard to rememer a lot of dialoge still after waking)
I've had several W.I.L.D's and astral projections from the waking state.
I've learned to project form SP at will once getting to it.
I've learned to intentionally go into SP while in a LD and not wake up.
I have thousands of dreams recorded in a dream journal (not sure of how many excactly but that's something I should look into)
I've had lots of real life dreams or dream about something just before it happens

The reason why I don't concider myself at a higher ability...

Becuase I've only been into LD'ing for about 7 years and only 3 of those years I have been really into it (I've been really into LD/OBE'ing since last August and am at the highest level since I fist started)Like most things it takes tears to really get good at something. Everytime you think you're good you get better and realize that you weren't even as good as you had thought. I would have to say that I beleive the main reason I don't put myself at a higher level is because I haven't even put 10 years into yet and I know I'll always get better.
Once I can start really manipulating my dreamscape I will consider myself at a higher level.
I can fly well but still have problems with control.
I still can't LD at will, as in go into a LD as soon as I fall to sleep whenever I want.
I still have problems with W.I.L.D'ing and need more work with this.
I'm sure there's more but I can't think of anything else.

The reasons I didn't put myself at a lower level...

I lucid dream almost everyday is the only reason I don't put myself any lower. I could be a lucid scholor but this reason and being able to string together really long LD's is what I believe puts me at a lucid expert.

I hope everybody responds to this post. I would like to know where everybody is at so I can tell where you're coming from better.

I chose "Lucid Tutor" because I enjoy helping others if possible by sharing my experiences. I am by no means an expert, but even if I felt that my ability had improved to that point I think I'd leave my ranking as it is, just to indicate my willingness to help.

I chose beginner, because, although I have had at least 6 or 7 LDs (w/o a journal!), the last few weeks really realistic ones, I still cannot pull off WILDs at will. Also, my lds are about a minute long, with me trying to do something cool like flying, only to wake up before I get the chance...

Scholar: A person with much knowledge in a particular field.

I chose Lucid Scholar because I've been studying about and having lucid dreams for about 7 years now. I don't consider myself an expert as I know there's still so much more for me to learn/experience.

(FYI.. my rating doesn\'t appear as the info about the lucid task replaced it.)

I'm choosing "beginner" because I've had roughly 20 LD's in the past 9 months or so, and none have lasted more than a few minutes. I suppose once I'm averaging one LD a week or more and can maintain them for at least 10 minutes, I'll upgrade myself to "student."

Well... Before the "Global" title, I was "Lucid Student". I've been LDing since before I can remember, but I chose "Student" because I'd like to think that I'm in a continuous state of learning.

      Lucid Student

I chose Lucid Student because I've Had a few LD's. But I still haven't mastered the all of the techniques. Plus we all are still learning. To stop learning is to not live at all.

I chose scholar because the most heartwarming thing for me to do is to teach my friends WILD step by step. I love to tell people my knowledge of lucid dreaming and give them a detail of my experiences. Though I am a student as well I like to see myself as the professor on LD for my friends who are trying it out after having to convince them that LDing was real. I also teach my friends forms of meditation. I feel almost altruistic about it, but I don't care.

I choose "Lucid student" because I consider myself a lucid student. I do know the basic concepts of lucid dreaming, but not much of all that harder and more complicated stuff. I also use to have 1-3 LDs a week (I'm having a dry period at the moment though).

Besides, I really like the word "student". It indicates that you really want to learn more.

"Lucid Student" seems suitable to me, I consider it a valuable description relating to my level of understanding.

I love to study the world of 'lucid dreaming' (Books, Articles, Movies, Music etc) while appreciating the experience through personal investigation (Techniques, Recall, Dream Signs, Journal etc).

It helps to develop imagination and your personal understanding of lucid dreams to explore the varied concepts with open eyes rather than disregarding concepts outside yourself.

I don't even remember what my rating was. I like Site Administrator better It leaves everyone guessing.

Seriously though. I have learned quite a bit, so I could claim expert, but I do not have them as often as I like, so I could not be a God. I am still learning, so I could be a student. There are things I don't understand, so I could be a beginner as well........I guess the term that sums me up best is: "Lucid Bubba"

I chose lucid tutor because the 'level' of my lucid dreams is still very basic, like a beginner, but I've been working at lucid dreaming for a long time. I'm still learning all the time myself, but I've accumulated quite a vast knowledge of lucid dreaming, which I can give to others.

      So it seemed to fit.

I think I'm a lucid scholar atm, cause I dont have many LDs nowadays, but I posess a lot of knowledge and first hand experience with the phenomena

Another rating that will fit me is "Ex lucid God" cause have multiple LDs every night like I used to

That's fine!! I think that you are great just the way you are, b/c not all LDer administer their own website, & are as awesome at debugging others' websites like you!!

Anyways, if they had this rating, I would pretty much say that I am a Dream Sage (ie, it is under my signature, but not one of the categories), but I marked myself as just an expert, as I do not to make Splash feel bad.
      Here are my Dream Pros:
      Can do it every night
Can do it for 6 hours
Have been able to DS w/my niece 6x
May be able to see real events in it
Been doing it for 14 years
Been able to control it for 13 years
      Always use WILD

      Here are my Dream Cons:
      Cannot sleep w/o WILD
Sometimes, I tend to be a bit self-destructive in LDs
Sometimes cannot tell whether I'm dreaming when really in real time
I tend to talk a bit too much about them.....
I almost always go straight for the LD Nintendo in them!!
A few times, I have completely forgotten my dreams (usually once a year...only lasts a week at the most, luckily!)

I chose lucid student because I am steadily learning the art of lucidity. I have had 11 LDs so far.

I chose Knight because I feel that I've mastered many of the aspects of lucid dreaming, but I'm not yet a complete master because I often fail at some techniques and I'm not perfect, but I'm also not a student because I already know much (not all, of course) and the initial learning process has slowed to a trickle rather than a flood. There's a lot left to trickle out though....Anyway, I'm not really a tutor, either, 'cuz while I enjoy teaching others, I'm not the best mentor by any means. So I was left with few choices, so I picked Knight.

'Course, the most important reason is 'cuz it's a really cool word. I mean--it makes absolutely no sense why we'd spell it that way, but we do anyway. So yeah. And the whole choppy-sword-bashy thing is pretty cool too.

I chose lucid scholar because I'm somewhat experienced with Lucid Dreaming as I have beeing interested in it for off and on for a little more than a year during that time I've probably had anywhere between 20 and 50 lucid dreams, especially in the past couple weeks. I understand all of the concepts behind lucid dreaming, but haven't really put a ton of work into it. I've tried a WILD before but it didn't work out and the only lucid dreams I've had have been during normal sleep. So I'm definitely not a beginner, but I still have a lot to do yet.
