      Astral projection and WILD

      Is there any difference between WILD and astral projection? The methods for inducing these two resemble each other.

      The reason they resemble each other so much could be because OBEs are most likely just dreams.

      This should probably be moved to Beyond Dreaming. They are alike because in both of them you need to become very relaxed,I mean, how would you expect to sleep if you weren't trying to relax and staying all tense. Also, how would you expect to have the mental power to have on OBE if you had a lot of stuff on your mind? They both really just involve becoming very relaxed and in a meditative like state so you can focus your intent. There is a difference between the two because a WILD is a lucid dreaming technique, an OBE is when you leave your body, not transition into a dream. Hope this helps.
