      What?

      few nights ago I had this dream where I got this sequence in my eye and I went out of the apartment and finally got it out. when I walked back in I saw this coworker laying in my bed. I'm female and she is female and I don't swing that way. I was upset. I was gonna stay at some other coworkers apartment for the night. And that's whose apartment I walked into. So I said fine I'll go home and sleep. My apartment was just up the street from my coworkers apt. And I said I'm taking my blanket and leaving. But the blanket I was gonna take was a huge blanket that it covered most of the floor as well as the bed this girl was laying in. So under it was a few more coworkers in their spots sleeping. And they all said no I couldn't take it. Then I turned around and at the door before I left was this guy. His name was Phil. He wanted me to drive his huge truck with big huge tires on it. I was scared to drive it. But I did anyways. Then when I was driving it I was nervious that I might hit something. But then when we got to my apt I took him inside and introduced him to my mom. I told her his name was phil and she gave me this sorta shocked look. Then I asked him what his last name was and he told me. I know it starts with an R and I think it was Randsom something like that. Then I asked him for his dob. He said it was April 23. I automatically said your a taurus. Now in RL I know my signs and I know which dates go with what signs. But sometimes I have to think of it. But in my dream I knew it right away. Well after I got his dob and said he was a taurus and not a pisces I woke up. Now the weird thing about this dream is that when I used to play with the ougi board ever since I was 15 the ougi board said I would meet a guy named phil who was a pisces and 2 years older then me and I would meet him at work. But so much has happened in the past 5 years that, that completely escaped my mind. But then the other night I had that dream. And I felt like I was on cloud nine and soooo much in love it wasn't funny. He wasn't much taller then me and he was from india. Or from that area. What could this dream mean?

      Coworkers in bed. Coworkers in your dreams. They wouldn't let you have your own blanket.

      I think you need a life apart from Work. As they say, you need to stop bringing your work home with you.

      Now, about romantic interests in dreams, it certainly is nice to meet new people and flirt whether one is asleep or awake; but I would not suppose there should be any crossover from dreaming life to waking life. I've often had ladies appear in my dreams -- a half a century of such visitations, and yet not once, not ever have I ever met any of these dream ladies in waking life. and now that I think about it, there has not been much of a cross-over in the other direction either... that is, not many of my Real Life lady friends have come to me in my dreams.

      If the Waking Life and the Dreaming Life are parallel existences, then they are not necessarily very close, even if they go in about the same direction. some dream characters we may recognize, but many will be friends exclusive to our dreams.

      Also, we should not dismiss the importance of our dream relationships. It is easy to dismiss the fun and joy we have with our dream companions by declaring in the morning that none of it was 'real'. But yet it was, subjectively. While it lasted the experience was real. And indeed, one needs to congratulate oneself for having dream friends. One requires social skills in one's dreams just as in real life, and without these necessary social skills, our dreams can be just as barren as our real lives, if we go about as anti-social brutes.
