Hmmm, cool. This makes me want to take an MRI of my brain, turn it into a piece of art, and frame it in my apartment.

You probably should have made it clear that the fold explaining "why some people are natural lucid dreamers" is purely your own conjecture, none of the articles you linked to mention dreams, nor does the article published by the University of Cambridge (Keeping track of reality - Research - University of Cambridge).

It's possible that it could explain why some people find lucid dreaming easier, but we can't be certain. The study only tested memory of whether an event was real or imagined, I'm sure all the participants knew perfectly well what was happening at the time, they presumably only had difficulty remembering after the event. Lucid dreaming requires people to realise it's a dream as it's happening, most people realise it wasn't reality after they wake up. It's an interesting suggestion, and it would be great if somebody were to study it, but it would probably have to be initiated by the Lucidity Institute and I doubt they have the resources.

Even if your assumption is wrong, it's likely that it explains why some people find it difficult to remember whether something was dreamt or really happened, and perhaps that could affect some people's ability to recall dreams.
