      real life experience needed ?

      so i had this dream in which i was in snow land or something like that but i wasn't able to feel it, i knew that snow is cold but in real life i have never seen snow or touched it ?
      so i was wondering is real life experience necessary to feel things in dream world ?
      like if am hit with a bullet in dream i would feel like something hitting me hard but it won't feel like the real bullet

      sometimes i just don't feel things in my dream is this normal or is it because i don't have real life experience with such things that's why i don't feel them ?

      That may be partially it, but sometimes even when you do know what to expect the dream will surprise you. I've read some people's dreams where they were walking in snow but it wasn't cold - and I've seen it several times (even in a book on lucid dreaming once _ I thin it was Laberge?) - so I'm sure some of them have experienced real snow before.

      Sometimes the visuals just don't quite match the other sensory input in the dream. You might for instance pick up a nice piece of cherry pie and eat it, only to find it tastes like a hotdog. Another example - I may not know what it feels like to hit the ground from 100 feet up (I doubt anyone does - who's still alive!) - but I know what falling over on a bike feels like and it hurts like hell!! But I've fallen off rooftops in dreams and landed gently on the ground like I was almost weightless and the ground felt like a feather pillow.
