Directly entering a lucid dream while half asleep.

So I just woke up from a short nap. Sort of. Just a few minutes from lying on my bed, I directly transitioned to a lucid state without a RC. Though I was half awake, and I could feel my real body even if I was exercising a common lucid dream activity. I was painstakingly trying not to induce any premature awakening, so I just had a stroll around town (I was flying on supah speed!) for what seemed like 10 minutes.

Any similar experience? And how's this even possible?

Tell me what time it is, say that it's a dream, and embrace me.

Just browsing around and I think i might have an answer for you, from what i believe. How long after this was your actual sleep, becuase your sleep cycles are shortened in the between time duration, so it can get to the point where you enter REM sleep almost immediately.

I had a 2 hour nap before this. Though I'm pretty sure it didn't count as the actual sleep so I think it has been 10 hours from this second short nap. And it was very short. Probably 20 or 30 minutes.

I have irregular sleeping patterns. I'd sleep irrespective of the time, so lol.

Yeah, the 2 hour nap definitely would do that for me at least. Your mind was already in or about to enter its REM state, you when you fell asleep again, it didn't mess around lol.

My very last LD I was completely aware of my surroundings in WL, yet also fully aware of the dream. This was a first for me, and VERY odd. I guess this is somewhat common though...

This sometimes happens in my WILDs. I will be aware of my body in bed the entire time. It can be frustrating if you dwell on the feeling.
