I guess just belief. Say you play a level of a video game over and over, eventually you will know that level in and out and have no doubt what so ever that you could complete that level, because you've done it multiple times. If you put a completely new game in, that you have no experience with, regardless how easy it might look, there is most likely some lingering doubt, if only sub consciously. The same applies for lucid dreaming. One could get into the mindset of a lucid dreamer through method acting I guess.
For instance, I always liked sniping in shooting games, was never great at it but still chose to snipe. When battlefield 3 came out i dont know why I but I just became the persona of an elite sniper, I got real enthusiastic about it and just believed I was the best, and no shitting you I became a top class sniper.
Think about it- how a lucid dreamer would view things/life having already had hundreds of lucid dreams, if thats what you want to be then thats what you must become.
In terms of differences in a master lds attitude, cant say from experience, I guess a more casual "yeh looking forward to my lucid dream tonight" rather than the usual "ah man wish i could have a lucid dream"
