Recalling a dream.. whilst in a dream?!

Just a weird thing that happened to me last night.. I was dreaming that I was with a guy I (barely) know, and then it suddenly dawned on me, whilst I was still dreaming and in the dream, that I had dreamt that he would be there. Whilst in the dream, I was positive that this was true and that I had actually dreamt about him coming, but when I woke up I realised that I had never had the dream I thought I had had whilst in the dream.

Has this happened to you before? Is it just like any thought or emotion one can have in a dream; it seems like the truth while you're in the dream, but when not, you realise it's bullshit? Or may it have been sort of a dream within a dream?

hmmm? Interesting, sounds like you had some sort of deja vu within your dream lol. Or you actually had the dream you recalled within your dream and it was such a vague dream that you could only remember it while dreaming. Very interesting, I have not had this happen to me though.

Yeah, it was definitely deja vu-like, but I was positive that it hadn't happened before, I had dreamt it. Maybe the dream was so vague it could only be recalled whilst dreaming and even in the dream the recall was very vague!

Interesting, I've never had this but would be a unique method to become lucid. Sadly it's effinency would proberly be low. :/

How? I mean, I had no idea in the dream that I was already in the dream whilst recalling the other dream, it just didn't strike my mind that I might be dreaming.. are you thinking about performing a RC every time I recall a dream? Or IRL when something happens and I remember having dreamt it? Or am I missing something very obvious now?

Yeah, perform a RC if this reoccurs in your dreams often. Usually whenever I begin to think about Lucid Dreaming or dreaming in general it gets me questioning waking life. So perform a RC whenever you think about dreaming, however I'd only recommend it if remembering dreams within a dream often.
