I don't know exactly what happened, but apparently the DreamViews domain was stolen or something? Anyway at least one good thing came out of it - I got an email notification about the incident which reminded me of this site's existence and inspired me to start posting again, after over a year of absence!
Back in 2010 I was starting to make some really good progress with LDing but somehow seemed to get out of the habit of it, perhaps when I started college as it shook up my sleep pattern a little. At one point I was actually finding myself having spontaneous LDs several times a month without even having to do anything, but as I wasn't really paying it much attention anymore I gradually stopped having them. Even though I rarely managed to stay asleep for more than a few seconds after becoming lucid I still felt like I was really starting to get somewhere.
So the big question is - does anyone have any ideas how I could quickly pick it up again? I've started writing my dreams down again so that's a start! I've never really found reality checks that useful; simply asking myself "Am I dreaming?" is usually enough to achieve lucidity. However reality checks can still be useful indirectly, as they act as a visual clue to remind me to ask the question. I was having so much fun with my lucid dreaming progress; I can't believe I managed to forget all about it. Can't wait to give it another go!
