SP question

Last night i could have sworn i had Sleep paralysis.
Because i got really relaxed. i felt my hands go numb, then my whole arms. I also saw hypnogogic imagery.

Then i felt this strange twitching with my eyes. it wasnt me controlling it. I presume this was REM but i wasnt dreaming of anything. it was just black. it felt like my eyes were darting back and forth.

Was it REM?

I'm not a pro, but REM cycles doesn't start until later on the night... Like two hours into sleeping, unless you have an irregular sleeping habits and slept during the day.

EDIT: oh lol.. sorry my bad. I thought you were talking about the evening.

I see.
I can say i dont think i was lying there that long. and a try not to sleep during the day, cos i end up not sleeping at come night time.
Although i could totally feel my eyes twitching and looking left to right.

Did you take nap before lying down?

I've read some people's SP experiences where they found their eyes twitching and moving from right to left upon entering SP.
