I usually sleep for 4 to 6 hours, but lately I have been sleeping longer because I have a break (from school where I teach. Unlike most of you guys). I nap in the afternoon for an hour or two, I almost always have a dream or two a night and while I nap (nothing lucid yet. That's what ticks me off. I get lots of dreams, and yet no lucidity). I should mention that I am a light sleeper, and that it takes me a while to fall asleep (add to that the fact that I talk myself into having a lucid dream. That makes me stay awake longer at night).

So I am not sure about the REM thing, and when it happens.
