Question about dreamZ app (please respond)

How do i know when the dream sound will go off? Will it detect when i'm in REM and do it? Because im looking at the options and the options are:

      -Alarm Mode
      -Memory Mode
      -Fresh Mode

The only one that relates to lucid dreaming is MemoryMode and it say's it will wake you up as soon as your last dream ends... Now.. maybe im missing something because im a newb again lol... but is this the part of the lucid dreaming??? so i wake up at the end of a dream and then go back into one? Or does it mean the end of a rem cycle in which i have to wait hours for another one then?

      Thanks for help in advanced

Not sure if this is the right place, DV didn't make the app, perhaps contacting the creators of the app through the contact details listed in the application?

The developer posted it up on this forum though and has been giving feedback on these forums... i just wanted to ask people who have used the app.

The alarm of the app and the audio cue is not the same thing.
You choose memorymode so it wakes you up in a 30 minutes window of your last dream end and it will make it easier for you to remember, although whichever mode you choose, the app will play an audio cue in each rem you enter during the night and you can change the option of sound volume and audio sound that you can record of your own voice in the Dream Sound button after clicking "go to sleep".

Let me further explain: The alarm you set is for waking up in the morning for going out of bed to school or whatever, but the Dream sound you set is for every REM period you have throughout the night and you have maybe about 4-8 of them. So the dream sound will be played 4-8 times during the night as you sleep in order to give you awareness in your dreams.

You should record yourself saying something like "Where are you? It's a dream, do a realitycheck"
If it accidentally wakes you up, see it as an opportunity to do a WBTB or a DEILD by practicing laying still after the sound wakes you up.

Yeah i knew the alarm wasn't for the cue.. but i was like... wheres the alarm set for the cue? but then i realised it must just go off when it detects rem on its own... i thought that was a bit weird and how would it do that? but i guess it will.

Yeah, its kind of good because if it goes of it only goes off for about 10-20 seconds i think so even if i wake up i can try the can-wild aswell or hopefully even the dield because its ment to wake you up during the rem cycle which u are probably dreaming during that time anyway. so its all good lol i hope it works

      Yes exactly
It knows that your in REM by your movements in bed. Just place it on your mattress next to your pillow.

      Good luck

Hi everyone, just saw this question now - but daban's answers are very accurate. I'm here if you have any other questions. (I'm the developer of DreamZ)

The first nights of using this app I got a total of 4 DILDs, if it was caused by the app, Im not sure but I think so.
However nowadays, I use to increase the volume a little bit and record something like "Your dreaming, wake up and lay completely still" for doing DEILDs instead.
Even though that's not the purpose of the app I really enjoy DEILD and WILD better than DILDs and I think the app is a great tool for this too.
