Fear of rejection - can lucid dreaming help?

I had a lucid dream last night which basically brought me to the internet to find out more info.

Normally I lucid dream quite a lot, sometimes I can control them, mostly not or only little control but never thought of applying it to my real life issue of fear of rejection from women. I know alot of guys have this problem but I have trouble approaching a women in a social situation even when it's obvious she wants me to approach her.

So the dream I had last night was..... I new I was dreaming and I had groups of women around me. I was in the dream thinking I know this isn't real so I could practise approaching these groups of women to see if it helps me in real life (sounds bizzare that you can think like that while dreaming!) Strange thing is I still felt the anxiety in the dream even though I new it was only a dream.

I understand that the brain can't tell the difference from images from real life and imagination so I wonder if this can work?

I plan to try and experiment with this to see if it can help me but wondered if anyone has more experience with helping real life with lucid dreaming.

I think it's very possible to this kind of thing help in real life

Here in Brazil, a group of researchers from one of our best universities were making tests about the benefits of lucid dreaming in our life.

They made such a simple experiment. They choosed some lucid dreamers to this experiment and divided them in 2 groups (A and B) and gave them a simple task.

Throw some coins into a cup from a certain distance (the same distance to everyone).

It wasn't a great diferencer between the results of everyone in the first time.

They said only to group A to pratice throwing coins in cups during their lucid dreams for a couple days.

The next time they met, the group A had a much better score than group B. They deduced that praticing things in LDs can really improve our ability in doing that things when awake.

Hey Rubens, thanks for sharing this experiment with us. Now this gives us a confidence to try everything in life without thinking about the fear of rejection.

Yep, learning about Lucid Dreaming can be very helpful in our "real life" too.

I have the plan of praticing music and composing during my LDs when I get better in this

I've read that our criativity is completely activated when dreaming, we know that just by looking at how crazy or creative our dreams can be xD
