Another "Was I lucid?" thread! sorry lol. Dreaming about lucid dreaming?

Well I know there are a lot of these questions but I am confused on the dream I had last night. I know I wasn't in control or I don't think I was but I had a dream that I was lucid dreaming. I said to myself I am dreaming out of no where and then I tried running around. I tried going through a wall but nothing happened so then I just played along with the current dream scene. It wasn't really vivid at all but I remember more details than my average dream. It was late at night in a palace looking area being chased buy a guy who looked like he was from Aladdin. I don't know if it was just a scripted dream or what.

I don't feel like I knew it was a dream but in my dream I did know if that makes sense. It's more of a blur now but I am not sure if I can pass it off as a lucid or semi lucid experience. I remember trying to do different things like going through walls etc. which none of those worked. After that I started running after the bad guy and I remember thinking to myself how real it felt and I wanted to cry because I was so happy. Upon awakening though I don't remember actually feeling the realism but I remember thinking to myself how it felt.

Oh and hi DV! Finally had a reason to post lol. But yeah what do you guys think of this experience? Is it possible to dream about lucid dreaming but actually not be lucid? In the dream I "knew" I was dreaming and that would be lucid but it felt artificial like my dream was controlling what I said and my emotions. It was deff a weird dream for me but still cool even though I feel like I wasn't lucid or fully lucid.

i would say a partial lucid dream. you tried to do a reality check and failed (which happens) and then the dream became non-lucid again. seems like your dream recall is up, so id just say keep trying. i've had dreams where i become lucid and try to pass my hand through a solid object and failed, but then keep going knowing i'm dreaming.

It actually happens. It happened to me like 4 days ago. I was running while doing reality checks, like I forgot what they meant.. I was feeling my dream body but I did not had control. Actually, I was dreaming about Lucid Dream. So yes it is possible to dream about lucid dreaming and not be actually lucid. Class it as a vivid experience but not lucid I suggest. But don't give up, keep going on till you make it !

If you weren't aware you were dreaming, not lucid.
If you were, vise versa. There's no in the middle. Lucid or not

well idk i had dreams where it was me and i thought i was dreaming, and then there was a point where I knew i was dreaming but couldn't talk or do anything and then just woke up. I was confused rather than excited =/

When Pikachu is in doubt he does a reality check.
