From my childhood I always had dreams about metro, trains and railroads. Either its traveling, trying to get home, finding new locations, getting hit by one or exploring. This time the dream environment seemed familiar and the theme of the dream seemed familiar but the ending of dream took an unexpected turn.
The Dream: Morning time, Sunny
The dream beggins in a produce store with lots of windows at the entrance with the sun peering through where me and a friendly are trying to catch two other individuals. I do not remember the reason for why we are pursuing them but as we are trying to catch them we cause a big mess knocking shelves over, spilling alot of stuff on the floor. This attracts the attention of the security guards standing on the exits and cash registers. The guards rush at us, I get concerned thinking we are about to get apprehended but they run by me and chase after the people we were trying to catch. I look towards the exit and check my stuff which is a coat and a backpack. I come outside and get on the train to go home. I awake as if I dozed off for a moment and I realize that the train took me on the wrong direction, an opposite direction. I realise that I went the wrong way and I leave the train realizing too late that I left my coat and backpack behind by accident. I am walking up a crowded junction stairscase to be able to get onto the correct platform to grab a train back to my home, a guard working at the junction recognizes me and runs to open the white metal door surrounded by a white metal fence to the outdoor junction entrance.I make way to the correct platform to wait for my train. I am facing the opposite direction of the tracks while waiting for the train and spark up a conversation with one of the bystanders, I am looking down off the platform through a bunch of fully leafed tree branches down to a river as I am in the crouching position. I do not remember the conversation exatly but I believe I was discussing the nature of my surroundings as if I was recongnizing the environment and the situation im in as if I been here before, as if making the connection that I dreamt it before. As this is happening, something strange occurs, a person walks up behind me an starts almost whispeing to me. He is trying to convince me that I am being rediculous, that its not a dream, as if hes trying to prevent me from losing my grip on the sense of the dream being real, trying to keep me from waking up. We both sit on the platform on our butts facing each other with arms over the knees pointing in the air. Were sitting there and this person is making a job of trying to convince me that this is all real that its not a dream. I become frusterated with him and I say well dream or not I am tired of waiting for this train to come and I challange him. He mentions the high of the drop from the platform to the river as if to concern me but instead I lift my arms to my sides and take the leap of faith. I let gravity take over as I relax my balance and fall forward. The moment I leave the ledge I become weightless but instead of plummeting in mid fall I become certain that I am in a dream and fly up. I fly up about up 100 feet or so look down and see that the person that tried to convince me is still sitting down there, staring at me. I turn left and begin my flight over the land, I see people and structures but at this point I know that I am dreaming and im trying to wake myself up. I look around and I see what almost looks like a rift, a tare in the sky. I fly towards it at full speed as if trying to escape this dream world, the moment I hit it I awake.
It makes me wonder. Who was that person? Why was he trying to convince me that the dream world was real? Was it my subconscious?
