Attaining lucidity with no prior sleep

I am laying in my bed writing this and I was wondering if it was possible to induce lucid dreaming with no prior sleep (Ex. Wake up at 8 AM go to bed at 11 PM with no sleeping inbetween.) Also, if this isn't too difficult to do, what method (counting, etc.,) would be the best and easiest to induce LDing? Any help is appreciated, thanks.
