When I do it, it feels like I'm putting my finger through melted plastic. Maybe you are thinking about it too much like Armageddon_Heaven said, causing you to believe pain would happen. When you try it next try to think that if you were dreaming then you wouldn't experience pain. |

I'm a BUG. Beyond Uber God.
In my only lucid dream to date, this is the RC I used, the finger went thru, but I felt a bit of pain like i was pushing into my palm too hard(nothing excruciating). I don't know what caused it, perhaps the fact that I had read this topic a couple of days before, my subconsious thought it would hurt and it did. |

I think there are two ways you could feel that. One is if you think it will hurt, then it will. The second is if your actual hand is in an uncomfortable position which could incorporate the pain in your dream (kind of like being in a concert in your dream when you hear music in real life). What your body is experiencing irl can affect how your dreams turn out. |
