      What is this?

This normally happens around 5am, im sleeping but I'm in my room and look at the clock it's 5am and for some reason my tv is on and I'm playing on my IPad, then I look again and everythings as it should be, tv off, iPad off, and I'm laying down? It's like I'm dreaming I'm in my room doing stuff I'd normally would, and then I'm in bed, tv off and iPad away? What is this and why does it happen?

      I don't even...

      Haha, just kidding.

It's a false awakening. You're dreaming that you're awake. This happens, but it seems to me that it's a lot more common when you lucid dream (but i'm not sure).

Yes, that's a false awakening. Nothing scary about it and I believe it happens frequently among non-lucid dreamers too.

      ^^ditto.

I suggest practicing doing reality checks everytime you wake up. It infinitely helps catch FA's in the future. Reality checking won't really waste your time, plus it gives you a better chance at lucidity.

      Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

It's a dream. But you already knew that...
