      Dream stability for beginners

I've been lucid dreaming for about a year, and have had difficulty maintaining longer LDs...usually they last only a few seconds, although some have been longer. I think I have discovered something to pass on to newbies...probably not new but worth mentioning....

When you become lucid, dont immediately try to do something amazing. In fact, dont 'let on' that you've become lucid. Its your secret. Dont tell the DCs, or try to fly, or molest the beautiful women. Keep going with the dream as if you dont know you are awake. If you 'violate' the dream space, you tend to wake up....at least I do.

I have flown, done some magic, raped DCs and what not, but this usually ends it for me. The longest ones I just went with it. I suspect the control can be developed, but stability is my focus for now. Once confidence in stability is developed I will move to the amazing tricks.

Great advice for those starting up. On my first LD I got so excited that I woke up immediately!

You can practice the stability in order for you to get much better results.

That is an interesting approach. When I get lucid, I always have the urge to yell at my DC's faces that it's a dream rofl.

I'm gonna give this a try thanks!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
