      Question about LD?

Anyway, I tried a new method last night. I set my alarm for 8:00 AM because I went to sleep at 2:00 (REM stage). Right when my alarm went off, I turned around and planted in my mind that I would LD and remember it. Anyway, once I went to sleep, I knew I was in a dream. It felt so real, though. I was in walmart, and right when I started, I tried to fly. I couldn't go anywhere accept a couple of feet. Then I remembered that you have to KNOW you can fly. So I took off in the air and flew around! Then, I was in the sporting goods section. I summoned a shotgun (don't know why I didn't take one. Hey, I was excited.) Then, I tried to summon a pistol, but I couldn't. After that, I demanded a hot chick to make out, so she did. It was amazing, but then I woke up. I have a couple questions:
First, it felt very real. But not as real as some of you describe it. How can I increase vividness?(Methods, not vitamins. I take B-6.)
Second, was this good for 2nd time? Was my technique good?
Lastly, I've tried LDing 3 times, and this was my second LD, is that normal?

One more thing, when I realized I was dreaming, it didn't start spinning or anything like that. Is this normal?

Hi dtg! To increase vividness, there are a couple things you can do. One is to have dream journal. Basically the more details you write down, the more you pay attention, the more vivid your dreams, and the more dreams you will remember.
The second, is to stabilize a dream. This can be done many ways. Like as soon as you become lucid, you study your hands, while setting an 'anchor' saying the dream WILL stay, it's anchored there. Or shouting "Clarity now!" or by kneeling down, and exploring your senses. Look at something, could be the floor even. Smell it, feel it, lick it, study it.
A third way is doing a day awareness technique, such as ADA or sporadic awareness, both of which have threads about them on this site.
No, it's not strange for your dream not to spin. Spinning is usually a last resort to stabilizing a dream, when its fading, you spin, to shove your mind back into the dream state.
      Good job on getting lucid!
