      Does Sport help getting LDs?

Hello guys. I'm still here. ;P

I have a number of questions on my mind that I try to figure out.
And one of these questions is the following one: Does sport/physical exercise have an effect on dream recall, dream clarity (vividness of dreams) and/or the chance of having lucid dreams?

I hypothesize a bit here, since I can't find an article about this topic. But since recalling your dreams lets you know about how dreams feel and sport lets you know how waking reality feels, does sport help you differ what's dream and what's waking reality?

I don't have any hypothesis about dream recall or vividness of dreams. I am just curious.
The only thought for this is that maybe sport helps develop mindfulness. And since I know of a German study (if I am not mistaken), which showed the relationship between mindfulness and dream recall, I might conclude there could be an effect.

On a side note: Does Yoga (what I count as physical exercise) help you with LDing?
(I suppose it does, since LDing seems to be first been used by dream yogis?)

I hope you can help me.

      Kind regards.

I am sorry I don't know the answer to physical exercise' affect on dreams.

I do about Yoga though ^-^

I practise some Yoga from time to time, and well since I am a beginner those stretch exercises hurts a bit, and for me this is a good meditation practise for controling the body and the mind.
And the meaning of the word Yoga in itself definitely match the perspective I got of all exploring of consciousness methods I know.

"union of body, mind and soul"

Yoga is also very relaxing and can't help to get rid of stress which in turn will give you more peaceful dreams which in turn will make it easier to remember and be aware of your dreams.

And there are probably more ways Yoga can help you, not only in lucid dreaming but in daily life as well.

There are different types of Yoga, and lucid dreaming (especially the DILD technique) in itself basically come from the old art of Dream Yoga.
Falling asleep consciously can be compared to the Yoga Nidra which makes the WILD technique.

And perhaps physical exercise can be a kind of Yoga in itself as well

      Namaste. Inlakesh Sweet dreams!

I have heard that exercise makes the mind awake and the body tired, which is a good recipe I think for any type of LD. Keep you asleep and your mind more active. I exercise daily, and I think that it helps. Don't be tired from lack of sleep though or it hurts LDing.

Indirectly, yes. Exercise gives subjects a better sleep quality.
