Everytime I start to get more aware in a dream,it goes back to normal

I noticed that occasionally my perception of the dream get enhanced,I feel almost like Im awake, but before I can really feel lucid the dream goes back to normal, the place feel very real for a matter of minutes, and then goes back to normal.
What can I do to make my awareness keep high to turn lucid?

Focus on things in the dream, and try some verbal commands. When entering you should always focus on the detail, but when you start getting into it. Just, focus on stability, and try things out. If it switches back to a dream I would recommend trying a DILD as soon as you feel it switch. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask

Hi, have you given this a read yet? http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/ninas-...torial-118317/

As what the previous poster said – try to engage your senses as much as you can, especially the tactile ones. Grab objects and feel the textures

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

I find that the quality of my senses fluctuate alot in my dreams and don't bother to use any of them to stabilize more than once or twice a dream. When I do however, I prolong the dream alot, but I don't think you should worry about not having super high quality all the time. With super high quality dreams you'll have a harder time with dream control.

As you become aware, try and reality check. To maximize your likeliness of becoming lucid, couple it with daily awareness (my apologies if you already are, as you have mentioned nothing of it within the original post). As you increase your awareness, take in your surroundings. Are things 'normal'? Now, when you question yourself this, make sure you answer to yourself WHY they are normal, as we perceive the most bizzare of things to be common. After you've done this, you can confirm to yourself by using a reality check.

I have not yet started doing reality checks,Ill give them a try now.I cant move though,I can turn my head apparently,as I can see my surrounds, but everything happens so quiclky,as in my most recent dream with better senses,I was eating a metal stick,I was in my third, when I suddenly had my dream self POV with my hand grabbing the stick, and the taste sense was really strong,I can still feel the awful metallic taste of it.
