      Question Too excited in WILD

Everything went fine, the hypnagogic images started just 15 minutes after napping (that's soon right?) but I got very excited and finally decided to wake up.

So, this is a generic problem, so please tell me your generical solutions

Don't get excited when the hypnagogic images/hullucinations come. Let them do their thing and wait until the dream starts.

I don't really notice the visuals, I use my body.

Pay attention to your sense of touch while maintaining your self awareness. after a while you'll notice some sort of sensation, like tingling or vibrations. I start to visualize what it would feel like to be sitting up in bed, and if you focus hard enough you'll start to feel a strange conflicting feeling between your inner ear and your imagined inner ear. Eventually your imagined sense of balance will take over and you can start controlling your visual field. I did this last night and I don't know how reproduce-able it is, but it worked very well for me.

Wait... so I should try to visualize me sitting in a bed, in a dream and then try to hear something from inside of the dream? I don't know how reproduce-able it is but I'll try it tomorrow. Good night!

I haven't done a WILD attempt for probably many months, but I would say just to focus on your breathing, and make sure you take long/deep breaths. This should help you become more tranquil.

I agree with Nexi, focusing on breathing usually helps.
