Smile a failed WILD (got excited), but Progress non the less

      hello all

i tried my 3rd WILD last night (5 in the morning). i did reverse blinking to get me really tired, then i just lay there.

after a while i started to feel spacey, then i suddenly got very hot and flustered, felt vibrations, my heart started racing like mad, like it was smashing on the inside of my chest. and i started hearing a beeping noise.

then there was just silence, i couldnt really 'feel' my body, but i knew it wasnt paralysed.
i had heard that if i keep laying still the same thing will happen again, but 'deeper' and will happen a couple more times until i will eventualy hit a full SP.

i was bursting with glee over having made progress that i knew the excitment was going to get in the way, so i stopped. rolled over and fell asleep

      -what did i experience?

-what would have happened if i had kept at it?

      thanks for any input chaps

you experienced SP or at least coming up to SP, and you really shouldnt have thought about the fact you were exited, you should have just calmed down, not give up, you would have gotten a lot further, possibly fully into a LD.

it is diffucult to say how much of the excitment was involentary. the racing heart (or what seemes like a racing heart) was definatly involuntary.

i suppose i then assosiated the racing heart with panic or excitment (anchoring, pavlov's dogs etc).

i suppose the more i do it, the calmer i will be able to remain.

i terms of the body, i could no longer feel the bed sheets + duvet. i knew i could move my body, but the sense of touch had 'shut down'.

what are some good mind exersises to stay focused and keep mind of body vibrations etc.

im trying some vivid imagery where i imagine my self in a scenario, doing normal stuff, but imagining all five senses.
it was supprisingly hard though, i guess its a practice thing.

the whole thing kinda felt like somthing started to happen, but i became to aware of the body. like starting up a car on an empty petrol tank.

well thanks for the advice, i didnt realise i was so close
