not necessarily. the same thing happens to me sometimes as well. you can "dream-chain" these short lucid dreams together. here is how. when you wake up from a dream, do the DEILD technique.. if successful you will go into a lucid dream like you described. if it is short lived, only a minute or even a few seconds, when you come out of the dream don't move or open your eyes, just do the DEILD technique again. in this way you can string together a series of dreams, "dream chaining"... the first time i did it i had several short lucid dreams (less than one minute long each) but then after that, i had one very intense, stable and controlled lucid dream that lasted for a while. inside of which i was in full control and could do whatever i wanted without fear of waking. i hope this helps you and good luck! |

You probably didn't have time to fall asleep deeper before waking up. That happens to me often and it results in very short LDs. If you have the technique down, and it seems like you do, just keep doing it. I'm sure next ones will be better. Happy dreams |
