I was thinking of course that you can do things to effect each one of these things. The top four you can do types of meditation to achieve. The bottom four just take time. All are great for lucidity, but which is best?

My vote is for 'Dream recall' but also for myself, expectation seems to play a major role as well as the other things you have listed. If my brain doesn't expect to lucid dream, it doesn't.

Oh yeah, sloth is right too, doing a dream journal improves dream recall.
