what does talking in my sleep mean?

I talk frequently in my sleep. What does that mean? Does it mean i am in a deep sleep or does it mean of no significance?

wouldn't it make sense for it to be the opposite?

Anyway, i have no idea. I think we talked about this before in the past, but i can't remember. Maybe it's because you're not in a deep enough sleep. I'd like to hear from someone more knowledgable about this though ._.

Sometimes I talk in my sleep, but usually only if before I sleep I was angry or upset

My dad told me that I shouted "You're all bastards!!" in my sleep , i was quite embarrassed

my step sister talks in her sleep which annoys me so i "accidentally" turn my music way up in "my sleep" but most people talk in there dreams just some people it passes on to real life, i would actually siay its a sign you arent sleeping that well

Wouldn't sleep paralysis make you not talk? Otherwise, many LD-ers would have been caught yelling "CLARITY!" in their sleep. I think it's more a sign of very shallow sleep (maybe VERY light dreaming). My old roommate used to talk in his sleep... but not like mumbling, but "full volume talking"... I could hear him through the wall haha.

If you want your partner to listen to what you have to say,
      talk in your sleep.

Which is why I plan on sleeping with a mouthguard on once I'm married.

      Well...

Contrary to popular belief, talking in one's sleep is NOT speaking your dreams aloud, just as sleep walking is not acting them out. Both these phenomena take place during non-REM sleep -- during stages one and two, I think.

Try looking up parasomnias if you want more information.
