They are two inevitable and absolutes things occurring as being human.
Not that you use the exact wording but something to imply the importance of sleep. Some people probably don’t and won’t give a second thought to the subject of dreaming. Some cultures such as ours have almost eliminated the importance or the necessity to sleep and dream as a permanent part of our lives. I was thinking of maybe a similar fraise just to get the attention to the average thinker. It is something that cannot be avoided like food. You can’t go for a very long time without nutrition. Maybe sleep should be looked at as nutrition and dreaming as health.

Ok, progress report. Below is a link to what I have so far - just an intro placeholder and first three "scenes".

Still going to be making changes and such. There's more to be animated as well, but I just wanted you to get an idea of style etc of what I have in mind. I like the black and white line style, but maybe color could be added later if you think we would need it.


LD Common Language - flash

Love it I actually wonder if we could ditch the words and record the translators speaking each part? Then it serves a completly different function to the static page. Obviouly this would make the animation heavy but it would a be a broadband thing anyway and they have the choice? Don't know what you think about that?

I would have to do that at school, if it is even possible...b/c I don't have a thing that transfers voices here!! (I am in school!)

I suppose if you got them to me as mp3's or AIF's. I just don't know how taking out the text will effect the design - what to do with the extra space?

You could put a narator, a dream genie or something that would just float in the space and have a very simple flash moulth that moved up n down when the speach was happening. I actually thought it would be easier for you. then you just add the mp3 files and don't have to change the text get the special chanrater sorted etc.

I'm having areal mare with some of these odd speical letters in certain languages like Polish!

Thanks I got that this morning. Bizarely enough a Spanish woman who's job is translation also sent me a email saying she would do the translation. What I'll do is send her your version as if its her job then she might later a word or phrase or two. Also she wanted to translate the whole Lucid Crossroads website so she is very useful.

I hope you don't feel insulted by me passing this on for her to have a look at, thanks very much for the work 8)

Hey, I kinda like that idea as well. It will likely make the file larger, but I bet I'm one of the last people here on earth who is still on a dial-up connection

I'm sure we could find some volunteers on here to do the voiceovers - only issue I see is consistency as far as sound quality and speed of reading. But hey, no need to make this some big Hollywood production

If not, I'm thinking I may have to somehow redesign or enlarge the piece, I'm having difficulties getting all the text to fit in - and it will probably get worse once we get the other languages in there.

Here's the latest version I have - just some minor tweaks from the last version and one new animation. Just wanted to let you know I'm still chippin away at it!

Looks cool why don't you do a voice over for this version then your in the best position to say what the standard should be. You could do away with the text then which would give you more space and make it easier.

I could import my voice if I needed to at my school, b/c it seems they have a sound room so we can import voices in Flash programs, Video games, etc!
