I can seem to find enough energy to even try to lucid dream anymore. I have only had a few Lucids in the amount of time people have hundreds; I enjoy dreams but cant find myself to care enough to write them down, I do however make a point in my conscious to remember segments and fractions of the cool and intriguing ones.
How do I get motivated?
I have read all the dream guides for Lucidity, all the TeQ's all the Methods; I even tried KavaKava and large amounts of melatonin
I was in the same boat as you for awhile. My average was about 3 lucids per year. Once I found the right technique, however, I've had a much higher success rate. But it wasn't without persistance and trial and error. There were times I felt like giving up, but the allure always drew me back in.
And yes, I admit, sometimes I get rather disappointed when I have a 'normal' dream instead of a cool one, but I try to always make it a point to jot it down anyway. It's sort of training your brain to believe that all dreams are equally as important, at least in my way of thinking. That way it helps you remember them more often.
Anyways, I hope you stick in there and find the motivation.
