Thread: Wondering what the technical term is

Well I'm not very familiar with technicalities in the lucid dictionary, but I frequently have pretty awesome dreams.
This dream happened quite some time ago..
This all being in one dream alone, I "wake" in this dream with full awareness and thought process. While at this time, feeling my physical body sleeping, eye lids closed, body motionless etc... yet I stare into the dream world around me. My vision obscured by what I can only describe as electrical waves like a snowy TV screen, I (also forgot to mention when I "awoke" I couldn't breathe for a couple of seconds like my body stopped it's process) look down towards my hands, barely able to control/move them seeing if i can bend my fingers(still feeling that my physical hands are not being moved). The obscured vision clears moments later. Later in the dream towards the end, I was in a house that I had entered and this.. being of some sort with a very bright white aura with many large tentacles was starting to phase its way through the ceiling and wall of the house... as i watched it enter, this massive being had one very distinct thing, one very large eye in the center probably the size of my body. It's stare pierced through me and sent waves of euphoria all through my body, I wasn't frightened either, more or less I was just watching. after about 10 seconds later I woke up quickly writing the dream down before it faded.

I want to know what exactly happened to me that night? I'm not sure what to classify it as. Because the sleep paralysis thing I experienced that night where i feel my outer body while dreaming but can't move happens all the time to me
