Need help determining if my planned sleep schedule will work

      Hi Guys,
I am currently going by the schedule of:
go to sleep at around 12: 15 AM,
be woken up by the alarm at 6:05 AM
Record any dreams I remember in my Cell phone and Try to WILD.
Finally, When I wake up for the day at around 10 AM, I record any dreams I might remember.

but the thing is, I am in need of changing this schedule due to some unavoidable personal circumstances to :
Go to sleep at around 10 PM,
Wake up at the sound of alarm at around 3-4 AM,
Go back to bed to WILD,
Finally wake up around 6-6:30 AM.

Now the question I have is just that I am actually changing my later part of my sleep (REM Sleep) from 6:30 AM - 10:00 AM to ( 4:30 AM to 6:30 or 7:00 AM)

so how much will it affect my Lucidity attemtps? I am planning to make the 10-6:30 my consistent sleep schedule but I hear that the ambient light plays a role in LDing and recall, so will my new schedule bring down my chances of LDing because my Later part of sleep is not in the dawn and early-later morning but instead 4-7 AM? or is it immaterial and only the Hours of sleep mater? also, Can I just have a dim night lamp to compensate for the Loss of ambient light?

      Thank you for your assistance.

I'm pretty sure WILD is possible at any time of day, so long as you get the amount of sleep right. Light may help/hinder, but it is by no means necessary.

I have changed my sleep schedule in similar ways a few times before and from my experience I can say that this didn't effect me at all. I guess it's only a thing of getting used to. After about 2-3 days of getting used to those new times I really felt comfortable with it.
You might also want to try and vary the time you let the alarm wake you up (It took me a while to find the best times to wake up and remember the greatest amount of dreams). On holidays I have a similar schedule to the one that you have now and when it's school I go to bed at 10 pm and usually wake up at 2am (just very briefly to record any dream I have had) and then again at 4am for about 10 minutes to attempt a WBTB. So the period from 4 am to 6:30am (that's when i get up for good) is the time that in the past I have been most likely to attain lucidity.

So for me it seems that only the actual hours of sleep matter and not the time. Also I usually prefer reasonably dark rooms to sleep in
I hope this helped a little.

Wow, Thanks Benni! That cleared up some doubt for me a little, also, It seems that I can recall better when I sleep in absolute darkness as well. Also, I am planning to go Try WILD during the 4:00 AM wake up, so I was in doubt whether the absence of ambient light would affect my Recall and LD chances at all, anyways, I will be sure to post the results of this regulation as well, In my Workbook, hopefully, it won't affect it too much.

you're most welcome Same with me. When I was younger I was really scared to sleep in a dark room, however now that I'm older it can't be dark enough hahaha. You can still try it with an ambient lieght though.
      Good luck!
