In my dream, everything is so bright

Every so often I have a dream where the environment I am in is so bright I cant open my eyes to see everything. I am more or less aware of what is going on but I struggle to see everything clearly. It almost makes it feel like it hurts my eyes in my dream it so bright. Its a really weird feeling. When I awake, I feel fine, eyes normal. Just wondering if anyone else gets these kinds of dreams, and what might be the significance to it. Interested to hear some comments.

My first LD was like that, so bright and unfocused, distorsed and very unstable. But I don't know if it's the same sensation as yours
I like destruction and reality, and one invariably leads to the other.

I've never had that experience. It's possible that it was because it wasn't a clear dream, and instead of the dream seeming fuzzy or dark, maybe your dreams get brighter and more "blown out" when they are less vivid? That's the only suggestion I have

I sometimes get very bright dreams where I couldn't open my eyes to the glare. You know what worked for me? I summoned some sunglasses to appear hanging at the neck of my shirt, put them on, and opened my eyes. Amazingly, I could see normally (in normal colors), and not even dark hues like the normal sunglasses would make me see. A few other times it happened, I also just rubbed my eyes and told myself it was just bright because I had just woken up and when I usually wake up IRL it gets bright just like it does when I get lucid. And after rubbing my eyes, I could see fine. The trick is to find reasons why they are happening and try to remedy them with your imagination

I'm not sure why it happens, maybe it's just the way your mind perceives 'waking up' in the dream, or maybe you just feel like everything is so bright because you just suddenly got aware that you were dreaming and your dreaming mind is trying to take in the graphics. Kind of like how many people suddenly get the graphics in HD the moment they become lucid, and everything becomes clear, except for some of us sometimes it gets bright instead of clear.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.
