I am an apparent menace to society!

Well It may have something to do with

To make the situation more degrading I was in the public portion of our high school. One in wich I graduated 11 years agoTheir library is open to public access.

Since my computor has been down (the mother board is caploooy. ) I have been frequently signing on to DV through the access of local libraries.
Yesterday.................I got reemed out because I was leaving DV cards in all the station.

I\'m a rebel What is one suppose to do?!?!?!

Well, I sometimes tell others about this website.....like Splash.
That happened to my computer a couple of months ago, & I had to access the web to even take care of my website for 4 days...
That is awful! Those people who reemed you should face the wrath of Icedawg (& believe me, when he gets mad, he kicks butt!), Seeker, Splash, & myself!!

I know the feeling. I tried to explain how great LDs were to a health food storeowner and think I got a little carried away. I was just trying to explain why I wanted b6 exc. Until I noticed his eyes were starting to bug out slightly. He listened though. Anything for a sale.

omg, thats so funny. YOu have to be sneaky when you are giving out the DV cars. Ill just like pretend to go look at something at a store near the front counter, and then sly slip the cards there and leave

That’s a good idea, he prob wouldn’t go to prison but I imagine he would end up somewhere else

That’s a funny story Howetzer, I wanted to distribute the DV cards around my local library so i decided to just put them inside the dreaming books that they have - people would freak out in my area if i handed them a card saying "Are You Dreaming".

i have mentioned lucid dreaming a couple of times to differnt people and that is the look they usually give. its funny, when i ask someone if they think it would be cool to control their dreams they think that would be sweet, say something about lucid dreaming and they raise their eye brows... dam society...

what's going on with this thread??

it's all very well to post DV business cards...but what if you put a whole bunch in your local library, and no one reads a single one?!
that could be disheartening...and can someone remind me of the object of these cards? Is it to get more people to register with DV?

I could try it...but after Howetzer's experience, i'm not so sure...

Still, though, I think there is a huge 'underground' of sentiment for dreaming. Most people keep it quiet. But I've noticed that if one simply refers to a recent dream, as when somebody greets you with "How are you today", you reply, "I had a WEIRD Dream, you wouldn't believe it"... then days or weeks later you find these same people coming up to tell you about their strange dreams. You'd be surprised that the most ordinary seeming people have a great deal of depth in their spiritual lives, as their dreams indicate.

Thats how I start off with people. I tell them about a weird dream. If they say something like "oh well I never dream" or "I always have nightmares", then you know to not bring up lucid dreaming.

Ehh, hmmmm.... where is this library? I suddenly feel the urge to .... check out a book there - yeah that's it! a book!

Seriously, at least you got the cards out there - I am quite ashamed to say I still have mine in the yellow envelope that Seeker gave me

But hey! I finally got the EWOLD copy from the local library and I'll be sure to put one or two in that and this other book about brainwaves and meditation. Don't worry, Seek, I'm down in Coventry all the time and will start leaving some in the stores there this weekend. really!

      Aw yes.. the \"look\" .. I know it well![/b]
You know, maybe I've just been lucky - but so far of the few people I've told about LD's, I haven't gotten that look. In fact, one of my friends said he sorta knew what I was talking about - he'd been able to go back into previous dreams and change them and such. Still, haven't mentioned it to any strangers - but really, I couldn't care less what anyone else thinks - THEY are the one's missing out on this!

One of my favorite places is the elevator in a building. If you are the only one in there at the time you can leave a card or two usually right next to the buttons where there is a seem. You walk out free and clean! 8)

I dont know why, but I'm really excited about giving out these cards.
Maybe because I think someone will see it, check out the site and be as excited as I was when I first visited here. *shrug*
oooh, I got an idea. We should ask all the new guys(girls) if they heard of this site from a card and if so where. Then we can all brag about how many people we got to visit the site =D
BTW, why is everyone so 'sneaky' about it? Is there some kind of law against what were doing?

when I talk about dreaming, even my friends give me the look. It's kind of a supressed smile and every sign that the person is really thinking "Wow, what an asshole/hippie/fruit."

However, even the squarest of people eventually come back and share a dream of their own. One girl I talked to could only think of one dream she'd had in recent memory, but the next week she came back with another. It's like I woke her up to the world of dreaming just by saying I had a weird dream. I think everyone enjoys a good dream, it's just that not enough people remember that they do dream.

Well with any luck some of my DV cards are floating (literally) around in New Orleans. Maybe someone will find one and decide to join. I doubt it though.

Wow.. what a blessing that would be for the survivors of Katrina.. to be able to lose themselves in a lucid dream and escape all that ugliness (if only in their dreams).
