      Becoming "Unlocked" in dreams.

When I'm awake I find it hard to recall what kind of adventures or experiences I've had in the dream world, I can remember a hand full but that's about it. However, while in the dream and especially when becoming lucid it's like experiences that I've had and even forgotten about comes back. I remember things I've done, how to do thing, things I've been taught and adventures. Sometimes it can be things that happened months or even years ago.

Does this happen to you as well?

hmmm...to some extent that does happen to me. this is interesting, because if one could draw from past knowledge in a dream, then how much more could be uncovered. I'm thinking and hoping that the depth of the human psyche can be actualized by the mastery of communicating with the subconscious in dreams. I hope. in any case, bud, STAY LUCID!!!

I've never really noticed it in a dream. But I've been trying some basic meditation for the last week or so and when I get relaxed I'm getting some memories of past dreams float back. Things that I had just about remembered when they happened and then later on forgot or simply put to back of mind. These thoughts float in on their own, I'm not seeking past memories. It's interesting nonetheless.

You can also say a command like "show me _______( for example " show me my first 2 hours in this life" and then il be shown my first 2 hours)

I find that remembering my dreams best occurs within the first 10 minutes of waking up. I first try to recall the entire dream in my head to refresh it. Then I try to remember the details and jot it down the plot of the dream in a journal I keep on my night stand. I find it easier to recall my dream when I focus on the feelings the dream aroused in what in the dream caused those feelings. Feelings seem to be a lot easier to recall.

I find it interesting that you too remember experiences within lucid dreams, that you forget about in your waking life. I also a lot of the time make connections between material (that I don't find apparent in my waking life) within my lucid dreams.

I hope the recalling and journalling method I use may be of some help to you. I find it useful and interest to look back at my journal.

Main statement should be that the dreaming experience always takes diffrent shapes in different persons, hence the best thing to do is to try and get comfortable in your own situation. As far as recalling dreams goes, i always work my way backwards. Think of the last thing that happend, and then what happend before that and so on. Sometimes seeing something after awakening can remind me of a situation or event that i had not yet recalled, this can happend hours after the initial awakening.
