Thread: Nightmare With a Twist

last night this happened to me i never have bad dreams just intense dreams.

I have been Lucid dreaming for about 5 or 6 years now. I have flown several times and I find myself going lots of gymnastics in my dreams. Something I’ve always wanted to be good at but never had training. Last night I had a dream right at bedtime which is rather late for me around 11:00 or so. Immediately started dreaming a terrible nightmare. I was just trying to get my kids to bed and everything was not lucid and completely horrible its hard to explain it but something very evil was trying to harass me I kept getting up from my bed checking on my kids and everything checking door locks then I go to bed. I lay in my bed face down totally non-lucid and this entity I never seen a face but it was on my back and the more I moved the more this thing got stronger. I reached back and attempted to bite this thing and bit down hard as I could. The aggression of this thing got so intense I said, "Jesus be with me." I instantly became lucid and this thing was gone. I never awoke. I prayed lucidly until I fell asleep peacefully. My wife came home around 12:15 and woke me up I don’t recall any more dreams but was still a bit shaken up over the nightmare.
I RECALL dreams where I cant get up or move from my bed but this was extreme.

Now this is a REM intense dream, from what I understand. Normally i smoke herbs to calm me at night. Last night i didn’t have any. When i use herbs before bed i won’t start my lucidity until around morning after i awake and go back to sleep again. When I didn’t have any herbs my brain activity was so frequent i lost some control there but then again maybe it was a demon trying to harass me . Open for ideas.

first of all demons are real, and they're everywhere. I have heard MANY strories just like this, and not one of the people who had the dream were christian. I have never had a dream like this, I believe because I am a christian and have Jesus in my heart. I think it was a demon, and it fled because they can't stand to hear the name of Jesus. this is what I personally believe.

Wow thats what i was more thinking too i consider myself a christian but i am easily persuaded into sinning. Ive been trying to do the right things lately and this demon must have been trying to get at me. Last night i splept like a rock with no dream recall. Thanks for your reply

Yeah, they are definatly real... unfortuantly. I am constantly harrassed by them myself, I asked my mom what to do and she said the same thing, they usualy cant stand to here Jesus's name, there is ALOT of power in that name, even if you dont beleive in him, and if you do.. whooo... The archangel gabriel the protector is also a great resource if you are in need of protection. Every once in a while I need their help, but im the kind of person that likes to deal with his own problems. I use light energy to ward/drive back and even destroy (from what I can tell) these dark things. Visualise a shield of light around yourself and draw upon the energy that is inside you, and you can even fortify it with your beleifs in Jesus.

Somone let in something nasty in the old place I was renting, using light to drive it back and dissipate it I then used the other elements to cleans the room, I either destroyed it or it decided not to play with me anymore, It decided to attack a close friend of mine while she was staying at my place...That was its first and last mistake.

Wow yeah thats way cool its just what ever you truly believe in that will be what will work perhaps. Im going to try the michael angelo sword next time perhaps send this basterd to hell.

we are all sinners, even christians. we're born with it. consider a child, say a little girl gets into her mothers makeup. she has it all over her face when she walks out of the room her dad sees her. "have you been in mom's makeup?" what do you think the kids gonna say? "no." did anyone TEACH that child to lie? of course not. after you accept Christ into your heart, you're still gonna sin. God forgives you of course, but i have struggles too, no one is perfect.

I don't think that the entities are afraid of the name of Jesus. It is the belief of the person saying the name that counts. If you were not Christian, invoking the name of Jesus would do no good. I'm sure that the same effect of banishment would apply if you invoked the name of the diety that heads your particulair belief system.

Just a word of caution on the topic of uttering the name of Jesus in your dreams... It has been my own experience that I should never take these things lightly -even if it seems to be "just" part of a dream. There is danger in entertaining LDs to the extent of playing with spiritual fire... I hope those who claim Christ as their Savior and LORD would take these things pertaining to Him seriously and seek the counsel of the Spirit with earnest prayer and study of His WORD.

maybe your scared because some religions scare you into belief, why should anyone fear being punished for being human. My god understands me because I am a peice of the same fabric....How could you be condemned for uttering a word in a dream?

Trust me ppl this guy knows what hes talking about. You wouldnt beilve this. READ ALL THIS POST, TAKE IN Mine I CAN NOT LUCID DREAM YET. After talking to evangel on a very similar topic i experinced my first LUCID dream.

Right before going to sleep i was focused on lucid dreaming when my mine wondered and i was thinking about my social life. Well one thing led to another and i was at a place in my child hood, a camp and the sun was seting. Well all of a sudden near a bridge, i saw somthing getting dragged in the forest, i contcetrated and saw somthing getting devoured, it saw me and rush out of the forest at me and its face was..... Dark, eyes were yellow and had a glowing light horns the flying thing grew bigger. It was rasing twords me with tornatoe speed. All of a sudden i tried to wake myself up( Reflex, this is where i become lucid) i dont know what triggered this sudden know of dreaming but i struggled to wake my self up for the first time, i felt paralized and tied down but my fear overwhelmed these straps and i broke free with my head turning and my body coming back from numbness.

Was i scared? OH YEH. But you know what, i prayed to God and went rigth back to sleep, knowing that he was my sheild and sword. Any questions i recomed u pm Evangel

Invoking these names in dream are powerful yes indeed, the fact that you invoke them impart beleif in that name and that its bearer will protect you out of love. Out of respect you should look into reading more of them not out of fear or being bound to do so.

Thats why I only invoke names if I am in over my head, like WAY over my frikin head. Like Ive said before I dont wake up most of the time, I cant just shake myself awake I have to deal with these damned shadows. Its not a, crap im scared and cant fall asleep its more like a... well is this unspeakable

I cant help it if these things like to torment me every time I get rid of one theres a new stronger one waiting, Most of the time I dont get much of a break inbetween I get tired you know? sometimes we all need help.

R u seriouse , these things huant you. The evil side of me is laughing it's @$$ of but the right side of me feels extremly sorry 4 u. Are you sure you have no power over these demons. Maybe your so scared you doubt yourself. If these are demons, im very sure you have little control over them. If ever you should have trouble, picture yourself standing beside God yelling a vs. Like John3:16 .

I think that speaking of Jesus in a dream is no different than speaking of Him in real life. Especially in a lucid dream because you're even more aware of yourself and your surrounding than in a non-lucid dream.

The thing about using the name of God to get rid of a demon is a promise either God or Jesus made somewhere that I don't remember about if you are under attack spiritually then to rebuke the entity in the name of God.

I did this once, and it worked. My mom also did it for my sister. I had a minister who exorcised a woman once. And a friend who had her car shut down and heard child's laughter next to her (she didn't think it was a demon at the time).

In God we trust.

Thats the thing I very much have power over them, I can drive them back and even destroy them, I think, the ones I think I destroyed havent come back to bother me others I think decide not to play with me, because I bite hard. But as we were talking about earlier I have encountered ones that were unstoppable, I couldent do a damned thing, im as stubborn a person as they come so its not like I didnt try, but in those cases, thats when I have had to invoke the name of Jesus.
I was being harrassed quite alot at one time and prayed for protection and I was able to finaly rest for a while.

This is probably the weirdest event that happened regarding these shadows.
First some backround, I was in a rented house and the room I was in was kind of dark for some reason, I finaly found it, there was just this nasty feeling in one corner of the room I had a couple other people comment on it too, it attacked me one night and that was one of the nights I had to call for help, I couldent do a thing against it... ok let me clear something up, I was awake... It invaded my dreams and bothered me while awake. So anyways I found out later from the landlord that the last tenant left a mess in that room, he said there was wax all over the floor...in a circle
Yeah... ummm seriously creeped out. Someone was meddling with something they shouldent have.

So anyways
My friend from maine, the one I had the shared dream with, stayed over and during the night she shuddered, I at the time was wide awake feigning sleep. She gasped and started shaking, and I felt That thing in the corner again, strongly and it moved twards the foot of the bed, i was no where near falling asleep and my feet got cold. My friend twitched again, I felt the thing was going after her, I couldent see it but its presence was overwhelming. I visualised my light shield around us a white resonating sphere, it has a very low frequency thrum to it. I could feel the thing now stopped at my shields perimiter, it pushed, I pushed back expanding the shields radius slightly but this seemed to piss it off and it pushed harder, thats when I basically had it.
I've said it in other threads, one of the most core instincts in my being is to protect and this thing was trying to get at somone very dear to me.
I poured all the energy I had into my shield and basically flashed it like one pulse of a strobelight the thing got pushed back all the way to the door of the room, I did it again and the presence was gone.n My friend was kinda breathing heavy and she turned to face me, I shut my eyes and pretended to be asleep again, "hey you awake?" I mumbled and turned on my side.

Ok now your thinking this guys crazy...

So, next day she says, "this is gona sound weird but I think something was in your room last night, I might have been dreaming but..." *she pointed at the corner that the thing usualy sat in*

"Something came out of that corner it was just a shadowy figure and it had red glowing eyes, it came over to the foot of the bed and it tried to reach for me, but it looked like it hit a wall it moved back a little then got a little closer then it moved all the way back to the door and vanished"

Yeah..... I told her what happened, and then a mutual friend of ours later said that he had the heebiejeebies all night...

From other event I have realised that here in this place I am basically blind, I can feel but I cannot see, I dont mean normal stuff, I have perfect vision for that, but all this other stuff I normaly cant see worth a damn, I can see my light shield because I am the one visualizing it, but say that shadow thing, my firend saw it, but I just felt it.

I just dont know what to do with stuff like this you know? but put yourself in my shoes if you experienced something like that what would you think?
Me Im confused.

Last night i had another wild dream but having difficulties recall most of it maybe later i will. I remember this guy following me everywhere. I would loose him and then he came back. Finally i met up with him on a bus and put everything i had into one punch and layed him out all over the bus seats. Most of my dreams are peaceful non-violent adventures and once and a while there is some evil i have to terminate. My grandmother taught me to pray before i could walk . Ive always believed in Jesus christ. I still have mixed feelings about religeon its man made, i feel you must find god in your heart.

When I was a kid, Serinath, I saw a shadow of a demon in my room. I was curious at first because I thought it was my imagination, but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't change what I thought was my visualization. It turned and started walking around the edge of my bed and I prayed to rebuke it.

Several weeks later (apparently the Bible says that if you rebuke a demon they go to a spiritual desert for an amount of time) it was back and it seemed to have a hatred for me now. It didn't approach me but when I prayed again (this time I was almost paralyzed with fear) it was gone, but...

This dark shadow flew into my room and glided over my bed. I was so scared and I prayed to be calmed down. It felt like I was touched over my heart and this calm spread through my body. Good thing too because a second, lighter shadow came in my room and glided over my bed, too.

They were gone then, and I have never seen, or been afraid of them or their kind since.

Has any 1 here read my most. Well after reading this stuff i defentialy belive there are demons on another plane that USUALLY can't physically hurt you but can try and spirtuiliy and mentially mess with you. I always knew demons were out there and from time ot time felt a strange presence here and there in my room.

You know what, at this very momment feel as if somthing is linger over me. The whole time while i was reading serinathes intresting post my heart rate was jumping and i felt this ball beging to swell in the back of my throat.

Now serinate i have know clue how to help you. But you remind me of those ppl in the movies who move in the huanted house and stay till you die(plz take no offence you are twice as smart). I recomd you stcik with God and keep praying. Oh and that was really smart bringing a frined over to test your suspiouen. Im wonder did your friend belive in any religon.

Im not saying this is right but what would have happend if the demon would have got to your friend. It sounds like you need an exserorist.

Oh and Ziwush(weird name, does it mean anything). That kinda of expeerince is scary.
