No...the other person would just disappear from your dream..Like when my niece & I were DSing, we were hanging out, & when I was woken up, she said that I disappeared. That is kind of how it goes...
Also, shouldn't this be in Beyond Dreaming???

But I was not talking of the other person..............only the DC's............Would they continue to exist ???.

Unless you used your dream powers, they probably wouldn't as long as you chose for them to be dead!

But if they Survived they would have an an existence all of their own. They would continue in the other persons dream. What I meant was the DC's would still carry on until that person woke up regardless of who thought them up.

Depends on if we decide to separate our Shared Dreams or not...

But the other person is already dead.........No choice.

If that were to happen, I would use the Dream powers to separate our LDs...that is all!! Nothing else to it...when you have complete control in a LD that is!!

No, not really. Nothing (except for maybe OBEs) scares me that much...in fact, when I was really young, I would have SP, & absolutely not be afraid at all!

Ok, Maybe there are detached DC's running around all over the place. I will put it down to my Alter Ego. (For The same sex one's at least). I think we missed the point though..........as if DC's could survive regardless of us.

It actually depends on the amount of control in a LD. & if both LDers are controlling the same dream, anything can happen!

The one time I had a verifiable shared dream, there were no other dream characters besides myself and the person I shared the dream with.

Leo's comment makes sense. I don't believe in shared dreams, but if you did share a dream with someone else, the rules would be very different from a private dream, and there probably wouldn't be dream characters.

There's nothing really official on Shared Dreams, and I've never experienced it, so it's pretty much all hypothetical for me, but I'd say No, they probably would not continue to exist. DCs in a normal dream are dependant on your mind to perpetuate their existence. YOU created them, so without you, they don't exist. BUT, if in a Shared Dream, you create a DC (Whether you intentionally create it or if it was done subconsciously), then the information on that character would be passed on to the other dreamer, and then their mind could perpetuate that character, even if you happened to leave the dream for whatever reason.

Like I said, this is all hypothetical for me. Dream Sharing is far from being proven, and while I'm interested and hopeful on the subject, I'm highly skeptical. It's not an easy thing to prove, so one must rely on personal experience for the moment, and if possible, it's certainly not widely known how to induce one.

Apparently, others that have posted before have experienced Shared Dreams, but as always, take it with a grain of salt. We ARE on an internet forum, so it'd be more important to try it yourself than to accept others opinions as given.
