      Exploring our subconscious

Yes, it is all good and well to fly around and have sexual inter-coarse with celebrity's but when we're dreaming we are inside our minds, don't you want to explore it? I mean it's a completely different universe when your not stuck inside a physical body, or have to be in a certain place. I mean, if I could lucid as well as some people on this site can, all I would do is experiment. Is it possible to push yourself out of existence? See what happens if you ask the dream to show you something? What is down in the deep layers of our subconscious? Has anyone else tried something like this? Has anyone got theory's or ideas for things to explore?

The way I see it lucid dreaming doesn't really give you freedom to explore your subconscious mind completely - it seems more like dreaming is a sort of holodeck designed specifically so you can act out the little dramas we call dreams. To use video game terminology (which I'm probably abusing since I don't play much) you''re still inside the game environment itself, you can't hack the programming or anything, but being lucid is like some kind of cheat code that allows you to control things you weren't supposed to. I mean obviously you can test the limits and capabilities of the holodeck programming itself (the dream environment), and that in itself is super cool! But I don't think that having a cool cheat code allows you to go beyond the programmed 'game environment'. Just my personal thoughts on it

I see what you mean. I guess when my lucidity is more consistent I will explore this and come back to it... Thank you though.
