My [WILD] lucid dreams end abruptly

I've gotten to the point where I can WILD basically every night (it's the easiest way for me) so I have no problem becoming lucid. My problem is that my dreams end abruptly once Im about do what I planned. For example: I've always liked piper cubs (the plane) so one WILD I just walked into my garage and found one. I wanted to fly it. So I walked over, and just as I was about to get in it, I woke up. The dream didn't fade, there wasn't any warning, I just woke up. Then another time I wanted to get on this jet ski that I found and I woke up. It's a WILD, so I don't have to stabilize, right? It's weird. I haven't been lucid for more than 5 minutes. I always wake up without warning. Anyone know why this happens?

I think stabilization is required in WILDs also
WILD or DILD dreams can in both destabilize

Week ago i had my longest WILD in which for first time i used stabilization method which i thought of
Every few minutes i looked at my hands and if they were blurry or looking weird then i focused my visions on them strongly till they started to look natural a-like
This extended my WILD up to 15 - 20 minutes if i remember correctly

It might not work for you thought
So i guess stabilization is in both needed for long play

I can suggest something which might help in case of wake up aswell
      - When you wake up you couldtry to Re-Enter dream using DEILD

This might give you a little boost if you were to wake up, so you could do another attempt instantly

      And offtopic question:
I'm wondering, what anchor do you use for your WILD attempts
It's quite a skill to be able to WILD at will

Thanks for your reply. So I basically have to stabilize my WILDs just like normal lucid dreams, and do it every few minutes? Sounds simple enough

To answer your question, I am not 100% sure what you mean by anchor, but basically what I do is I visualize what I want to dream about. I wait until my body is super relaxed by focusing on breathing. After that I just visualize what I want to dream about, and try to forget my body. Then hypnagogia happens and I try to keep thinking about my intended dream, and I ignore the HI. Then the dream appears and I'm in it. It takes a lot of focus to not get sucked in by all the distractions but if you can stay focused on your visualization, it works. At least for me.
